Photoessay Results
3rd Annual Photo Essay Competition
The 2011-2012 Photo Essay Competition attracted 11 entries.
1 from the Novice division and 1 first time photo essay maker were each grouped with the 4 from the Intermediate Division and the awards were as follows:
1st place: Bev Donaldson – “Love on the Galapagos Rocks”
2nd place: Rhonda Starr – “Feelin’ Good”
3rd place: Grant Dale – “Hawaii”
There were 5 entries from the Advanced division and the awards were as follows:
1st place and trophy winner: Mark Girard – “The Rat Race”
2nd place: Lance Gitter – “Tough Mudders Colorado 2011″
3rd place: Larry Rezka – Golden Hours”
Other shows which we enjoyed were:
Kathy Constantinou – “Barbary Macaques of Trenton Monkey Farm”
Harvey Rogers – “A Trip to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen Denmark”
Bud Newton- “Great Blue Herons Breeding at Rookeries”
Josie Stauffer – “Dance of the Waterlillies”
Ron Goodlin – “Photography is for the Birds”
The shows were presented to the club at the March 19 meeting, after the judging session held a number of days earlier. The judges were Ann Alimi of the Toronto Camera Club, Jonathan Ward of the Toronto Digital Photo Club and Pat Zuest, a member of both the TCC and the TDPC clubs.

2nd Annual Photo Essay Competition
The 2010-2011 Photo Essay Competition attracted 14 entries.
1 from the Novice division was grouped with the 6 from the Intermediate Division and the awards were as follows:
1st place: Grant Dale – Habana Autentica
2nd place: Mark Girard – Walk on By
3rd place: Bev Donaldson – Kruger Park South Africa
There were 7 entries from the Advanced division and the awards were as follows:
1st place and trophy winner: Josie Stauffer – Autumn Leaves
2nd place: Lance Gitter – The cars of old Havana
3rd place: Irina Popova – The Nutcracker

The shows were presented to the club at the April 11 meeting, after the judging session held a number of days earlier. The judges were Pat Zuest and Ann Alimi of the Toronto Camera Club. The 3rd scheduled judge had a family emergency and was unable to attend at the last moment.

First Annual Photoessay Competition Results
17 members created a wonderful selection of photoessays which were enjoyed at the March 8, 2010 meeting

Two photoessays scored well by the judges but were disqualified because the makers’ names were shown in the credits.
They were awarded Honorable Mention Ribbons because of the high scores but were not eligible for placements or the trophy:

- Advanced HM – Ron Goodlin (Paris)
