Jazz music lovers rejoice as Barry Green has made special arrangements with the Markham Jazz Festival organization for us to receive media pass lanyards allowing us to capture with photographs and video all the excitement of the 27^th year of this jazz festival along Main Street Unionville.

Full Description: This is your opportunity to listen to some amazing jazz music on historic Main Street in Unionville while soaking in the festive atmosphere as you capture the volunteers, the crowds, vendors, historic buildings, street scenes, and performers at different stages along Main Street Unionville including the Millennium Bandstand, the Varley Art Gallery Patio, and the McKay Wine & Beer Garden.

Parking: Free limited street parking on the side streets, or take advantage of the no-worry parking, free shuttle service. With Main Street Unionville closed to traffic during Festival weekend, you can park at the nearby Markham Pan Am Centre and take their convenient, free shuttle bus up to the Festival site 1.2 km away.

Food: Bring your own snacks and water. If you prefer, you can purchase food, snacks and drinks at the various vendors and restaurants on Main Street

Physical Requirements: You must have the physical endurance to stand for hours, and walk up and down Main Street

Registration: Limited to 10 members, no guests allowed.

Registration Waitlist: The registration waitlist will be handled by the club website.

Photo / Video Requirements: Registrants will be required to submit a minimum of 10 of your best event photos to the Markham Jazz Festival Organization in return for the Media Event Lanyards. Detail requirements will be emailed to registrants separately.

Photo / Video Tips & Tricks: Lots of fully charged batteries and formatted memory cards. Lens recommendations, wide angle zoom (16-35mm), standard zoom (24-70mm, 24-105mm) telephoto zoom (70-200mm), and or fast primes (24mm, 35mm, 50mm), or whatever you have that you are comfortable photographing with for street / event photography during the day and early evening.

Safety Considerations: Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions, insect repellant, sun protection. Comfortable walking shoes.
