The Richmond Hill Camera Club’s 10 image submission earned us 3rd place tie, out of 91 clubs worldwide.
The level of images must have been exceptionally good because five of our images earned acceptances or special placement.
Kathy Constantinou’s “Sea Lion barking at Pup” was awarded Best in Show with a score of 30 points!
Ron Goodlin’s “Hippo and Birds” earned First Place – Herbivore Mammals with a score of 28 points.
Cliff Homewood’s “Loon with Chicks on her back” and Rob Kline’s “Osprey Carrying Nesting Material” each scored 27 points and got Merit Awards.
Mark Girard’s “American Oystercatcher with Clam” earned an acceptance with 26 points.
Rounding out our club entry were:
Lance Gitter’s “Pholiota Adiposa and Giant Polypore” (24), Jim Camelford’s “Starfish” (24), Kathy Constantinou’s “California Brown Pelican” (24), Bev Donaldson’s “Chameleon” (24) and Geoffrey Pierpoint’s “Cypripendium Reginae” (21).

The competition is a club entry only of 10 images with no more than two from any one photographer and we tied with the Toronto Camera Club for third place overall.

Full details on the scores and winning images can be found on the Glennie Website. You can also view/download a slideshow of the entries from their website.
